Terel Hall added 13 points and four steals while
Demarcus Bryant chipped in 10 points.

The loss gives the Tigers a 3-9 record and extends their losing streak to four games.

Tulane jumped out to a 14-4 advantage but Savannah State strung together a 9-1 run to trim their deficit to 15-13 with eight minutes on the clock.

The Green Wave led by as many as six in the final five minutes of the first half.

SSU came as close as two points on several trips down the floor in the final 3:33 with the last time being with 34 seconds left following a layup by Bryant which made the score 25-23.

Tulane led 27-23 at the break.

The Green Wave started the second half with a 12-5 run to increase their lead to 39-28 with 16:27 on the clock.

Hall made a layup to cut the Tigers deficit to 39-30 but a layup by Tulane gave the Green Wave a double digit lead which they held until the 1:15 mark.

Tulane led 63-47 with 4:49 remaining but Savannah State mounted a 16-7 spurt to close their gap to 70-63 with 32 seconds left.

A trio of free throws expanded Tulane's lead to 73-63 with 14 seconds on the clock and SSU could get no closer than eight the rest of the way.

SSU's defense held the Green wave without a field goal the final 3:06.
