Tiger Bites
· Tigers will play at home for the first time this season. The Tigers were 7-5 at home last season and are 8-0 in home openers in the Broadnax Era.

· Starting senior guard Keierre Richards suffered a knee injury against Eastern Kentucky that sidelined him for game against Marshall. He is listed as probable for today's game.

· Tigers have started the season 0-2 for the third time in the Broadnax era. The Tigers have not started a season 0-3 since Broadnax took the helm in 2005-06. The last time SSU began a season with three losses was in 2004-05; the year prior to Broadnax's arrival.

· This is the  1st meeting between SSU and Winthrop. The Tigers will travel to Winthrop on December 1, 2014.

· The Tigers were picked to finished 7th in the  2014-15 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC)  preseason poll. SSU finished in the 5th place spot last season and won in the opening round of  the MEAC tournament, but fell to Norfolk State in the quarterfinal round.
