FLORENCE, S.C. – The Savannah State women's tennis team fell, 0-4, to Norfolk State University in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match up Tuesday morning in Florence, South Carolina.
In the first court, junior 
Sandra Kristjansdottir fell 2-6 in the first set, and conceded the second set to Norfolk State's Yvonne Kamegne. Playing the second position, 
Esmira Gheisary fell to Andrea Macchiavello 0-6 and 0-6.
Savannah State's 
Andrea Pavlovic conceded in the second set to Laura Gutierrerz after falling 2-6 in the first set. In the fourth court, 
Nicole Ashiedu fell to Mafalda Lhorca 2-6 and 2-6.
SSU freshman 
Tiffany Williams dropped the fifth court to Rebecca Graff in straight sets, 0-6 and 0-6. Rounding out the singles play, SSU senior 
Davita Washington conceded in the second set after falling 2-6 in the first to Kia Batiste.
In double's action, the team of Kristjansdottir and Ashiedu dropped the first court to Kamegne and Gutierrez 0-8. Pavlovic and Gheisary fell, 3-8, to Macchiavello and Lhorca in the second position.
In the third court, the SSU team of Washington and Williams fell to Kariuk and Graff 0-8.
The Lady Tigers fall to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in the MEAC, while Norfolk State improves to 4-5 and 2-4 in the conference.
Savannah State returns to action against Georgia Southern in Statesboro, Georgia on March 9. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m.
