JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Savannah State left 10 men on base in a 18-2 loss to North Florida in a game played at Harmon Stadium before a crowd of 468.<br />

The Tigers (8-13) only had five hits and made three errors.<br />

Andrew Garren only lasted two innings as UNF batters roughed him up for five hits, six runs and two walks. Reliever
Shawn Gallagher gave up five runs in just innings. Other SSU relievers who saw action were Coutrevez McTier,
Eric Ransom,
Jason Wynn and
Dezmond Moore. Garren was tagged with the loss.<br />

The Ospreys scored three times in the first inning.<br />
<br />
SSU got on the scoreboard in the top of the third as
Darien Campbell singled and came home on a double by
Todd Hagen.<br />
<br />
North Florida (14-7) answered with a trio of runs in the bottom of the inning followed by one in the fourth, five in the fifth and six runs in the sixth inning for an 18-1 advantage.<br />
<br />
In the eighth, SSU’s
Peter Poole and Matt Oglesby drew back to back walks and
Julius Green was hit by a pitch to load the bases.
Ian Farris walked which allowed Poole to score to make it an 18-2 contest but
Joshua Morales hit into a double play to end the inning.<br />

Hagen had two hits for the Tigers. <br />
