Tigers Lose To Charleston Southern

 CHARLESTON, S.C.- Bobby Ison had three hits and scored twice and Harrison Wilkins hit a solo home run to lead Charleston Southern to a 9-3 victory over Savannah State at the CSU Ballpark.

SSU jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning as Darien Campbell led off the contest with a triple and scored on Joseph McCrary's double. After Todd Hagen drew a walk, Julius Green reached on a fielder's choice which allowed McCrary to cross home plate.

The Bucs answered SSU with four runs in the bottom of the third for a 4-2 lead and added single runs in the sixth and seventh innings to expand their advantage to 6-2.

Antonio Scott led off the top of the eighth with a bunt single and later scored when Campbell grounded into ma double play to make the score 6-3.

CSU (2-2) collected three hits and scored three times in the bottom of the inning to make the score 9-3.

Campbell had a triple and a single for the Tigers (2-1) and scored a run while McCrary had a double.

Tommy Freeman took the loss, pitching four innings and giving up eight hits and four runs while striking out one.

Austin Weekely earned the win with four strikeouts in four innings  while giving up two hits and one run.
