Savannah, Ga. – The Savannah State University Men's and Women's basketball teams will be playing, for the first time, in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in Winston Salem, N.C. March 4-10. Tickets for the event are now on sale through SSU ticket office and online.

The SSU ticket office can be reached at (912) 358-3431 and online at http://bit.ly/A3HkYa. Tickets are offered at a flat $75.00 rate for the entire week of events.

Sunday, March 4 the Savannah State Cheerleading squad will compete in the MEAC Cheerleading Championship.

Monday, March 5 is tip-off for first round of the women's tournament. Tuesday, March 6 is tip-off for the first round of men's tournament.

The event wraps up Saturday, March 10 with the Men's Championship (ESPN2) at 1 p.m., and the Women's Championship (ESPNU) at 4 p.m.

Currently, the SSU men's basketball team is ranked first in the MEAC with a 16-10 overall and 9-2 MEAC record. Women's basketball is 9-15 overall.
