ATLANTA, Ga.- Savannah State swept a double header from Morehouse by scores of 10-4 and 12-4.
SSU got strong pitching efforts in both games, giving up five hits in the opener and four in the second game.

Kevin Herlihy and Dexter Kelley all scored runs in the top of the second inning in the first game. Morehouse answered with two runs in the bottom of the inning to slice Savannah State's lead to just one run.
The Tigers scored three runs on two hits in the third inning to go ahead 6-2.
Herlihy hit a three-run home run in the sixth as the Tigers sent four runners across home plate. Morehouse scored twice in the bottom half as Brandon Lowe hit a RBI double and Bryan Butcher hit a RBI single.
Andrew Garren earned the win, pitching two innings and giving up two hits and two runs. Herlihy had four RBIs and scored three runs for SSU.
Evian McClendon took the loss as he gave up six runs and five walks in three innings. Butcher and Lowe each had two hits for the Maroon Tigers.
In the second tilt,
Joseph McCrary and Peter Poole each hit home runs for SSU (22-19).
SSU held Morehouse scoreless until the bottom of the seventh when they scored all four of their runs off just one hit.
Kelley led off the game with a walk and came home of a sacrifice fly by Jackson for a 1-0 lead. Herlihy led off the second with a single and came home on a double by Todd Hagen and
Julius Green singled and later scored for a 3-0 lead.
Green hit a two run single in the third as SSU scored four times in the third to increase their advantage to 7-0. The Tigers went ahead 9-0 in the fourth as McCrary blasted a two run homer.
In the top of the seventh, Poole hit a three run home run to extend SSU's lead to 10-0.
Joe Jackson pitched two inning and gave up one run to get the victory.
William Coble had two hits for Morehouse (10-25) while Lowe drove in two runs. Andre Dixon suffered the loss as he gave up seven runs and five walks in three innings.
