NORFOLK, Va- Norfolk State defeated Savannah State in a double-header at Marty Miller Field, 5-0 and 5-3.

In the first game, Moriba George scored two runs and John Boyd drove in two runs for the Spartans while Quinn Bright pitched a complete game, allowing just five hits.

Michael Allegretti took the loss for the Tigers while Andrew Mendez hit a double.

In the nightcap, SSU (19-20) took a 3-1 lead after three innings of action. Dexter Kelley hit a RBI double in the second and Kyle Wilkerson hit a RBI double in the third and came home on a sacrifice fly by Brett Pointer.

Norfolk State scored three times in the fourth to go ahead 4-3 and added another run in the fifth, thanks to two SSU errors.

The Tigers made six errors in the second game which led to three unearned runs.

Robert Ramsdale pitched 4.2 innings for SSU and took the loss.

Horace Smith won the game for Norfolk State (17-18) as he stuck out six batters.
