Jordan Hopgood was named assistant coach/running backs for the Savannah State University football team during the summer of 2022.
Before coming to Savannah State University, Hopgood was a running back and tight ends coach at West Virginia Wesleyan, after serving as tight end coach for Jackson State University.
Prior to Jackson State, Hopgood served as running back coach at Morgan State University. He also worked as the wide receiver and return specialist coach at Howard University during 2016 season as a first-year coach.
As an athlete, Hopgood played running back for Bowling Green State University from 2009-2014, making three bowl appearances and winning the Mid-American Conference Championship (MAAC) in 2013. A Native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Hopgood became a nationally ranked wide receiver at Princeton High School.
In 2014, Hopgood graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology.
