SAVANNAH, Ga.-The home portion of the schedules for baseball and softball come to an end this week and the track & field squad head's to Columbia, S. C. for their final regular season meet of 2026. We'll cover everything in this week's edition of "This Week In Tiger Athletics". 

Softball
After a series sweep of Benedict last week at home, The Lady Tiger softball squad is firmly entrenched in the #2 spot in the SIAC East Division. Savannah State will wrap up the home portion of their 2026 season as they will welcome rival Edward Waters to Lady Tiger Softball Field for a very important three-game series. A doubleheader will start things on Friday, April 17th at 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Nine seniors will be honored in their final home contest of their collegiate careers on Saturday, April 18th at 12:00pm.

Baseball
Savannah State baseball is riding high after a critical series win over Edward Waters last weekend at home. The Tigers will be in action four times this week, starting with their final non-conference matchup against USC Beaufort on Wednesday, April 15th in Hardeeville, South Carolina at 4:00pm. The Orange & Blue then comes back home for the final time this season where they will host the Magicians of LeMoyne-Owen for a three-game SIAC series. on Saturday, April 18th, a doubleheader will start things at 11:00am & 3:00pm. Then on Sunday, April 19th, the Tigers will honor 10 seniors in the series finale at 11:00am.
