ALBANY, Ga.- Down 2-0 for the majority of the game, Savannah State scored once in the fourth and added two more runs in the fifth for a 3-2 win over Albany State on Friday evening.
The win improved the Lady Tigers to 4-0 in the SIAC and 13-3 overall.
Albany State scored twice in the bottom of the first. That lead stood up until the top of the fourth when
Ambria Guye led off with a single and scored on a groundout by
Jayla Alexander.
With two outs in the fifth,
Ansley Hudson drew a walk and made her way to third on a double by
Milani Dunning. Guye hit a double that brought home Hudson and Dunning in what would be enough to win the game.
Guye ended the game going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI while
Donnea Allen claimed the win on the mound, striking out seven.
