GARDENDALE, Ala.- In what was anticipated in being a pitcher's dual turned out to be a one-sided affair as Savannah State fell to Tuskegee 9-0 on Tuesday afternoonin the SIAC Crossover at Bill Noble Park.
Savannah State sent
Donnea Allen to the mound while the Golden Tigers countered with Monica Rose.
While both pitchers combined to strike out 15 batters, with Allen striking out seven, it was Rose who had the better game with eight strikeouts and holding SSU to just two hits.
Savannah State got both of their hits in the bottom of the third inning when
Milani Dunning hit a single to left field and
Ansley Hudson followed with a single up the middle.
SSU (13-7, 4-4 SIAC) returns to action on Wednesday in the SIAC Crossover with games against Lane and Kentucky State.
