Benedict carried its momentum into the second set, building an early 9-2 advantage. Savannah State attempted to battle back behind kills from Smith, Woods and Lawrence. Woods also recorded a service ace during a three-point Lady Tiger run that trimmed the deficit to 16-8. However, Benedict maintained its advantage and secured the second set, 25-14.

In the third set, Savannah State again started strong, taking an early 4-3 lead as Smith delivered four kills among the Lady Tigers' first four points. The teams battled through a 6-6 tie before Benedict used a decisive scoring run to pull away.
