SAVANNAH, Ga.- Already leading 2-0, Albany State scored six times in the top of the seventh inning in their 8-2 win over Savannah State on Saturday afternoon at the SSU Softball Complex.
ASU scored twice in the first inning for the early lead.
The score remained the same until the seventh inning when the Golden Rams had six more runners to score to increase their lead to 8-0.
In the bottom half of the inning, Savannah State scored their two runs which made the score 8-2.
Ansley Hudson had two hits for SSU and
Jayla Alexander had a pair of RBI.
Aaliyah Martin took the loss on the mound. Martin pitched six innings and only gave up two earned runs.
The Lady Tigers (7-9, 3-3 SIAC) will travel to Hoover, Alabama for the SIAC Crossover on March 11-13.
