MEMPHIS, Tenn.-
Savannah Everett and
Amiyah Walker both had a double-double to lead Savannah State to a 3-1 win over Central State in the SIAC Crossover which was played Friday morning at the Memphis Sports and Events Center.
Everett finished with 10 kills and 17 digs to go with her 3 aces while Walker had 39 assists and 12 digs to go with her 4 blocks.
Central State won the first set 26-24 but the Lady Tigers rallied to win three sets in a row with scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-22.
Savannah State finished the match with 49 digs and 69 kills.
Nyalah Smith had 13 kills while
Aaliyah Saunders added a dozen
Saniaa Dickey added 15 digs and
Kira Raby has 11.
SSU (9-4, 5-2 SIAC) will play Lane at 5:30 p.m on Friday afternoon.
