Savannah State women's volleyball went 2-1 last week in key SIAC matches. They improved to 11-9 overall and 11-5 in conference as well as 7-2 in their division—setting a new school record for the most conference wins in a single season.

Over the three matches last week, Langston combined for 43 kills with only 10 errors, 39 digs and 40 points, recording a double-double in two of the week's matches.

Fort Valley State's Sarah Rosario was named the SIAC Defensive Player of the Week while Lane's Jazmyne Jones was named the SIAC Setter of the Week.

The Lady Tigers close out the regular season with three SIAC East Division matches as they vie for top billing into the 2022 Cricket SIAC Women's Volleyball Championship, set for Nov. 10-12 in Mobile, Alabama.

Savannah State is currently ranked No. 2 in the SIAC East Division, trailing Albany State (13-2, 7-1 division). Edward Waters (10-2, 3-1 division)—who the Lady Tigers play twice in the final matches of the season—are in third, followed by Benedict (6-9), Allen (5-8), Clark Atlanta (5-10) and Fort Valley State (5-12).

The SIAC Championship is seeded according to regular season rankings, pitting the top four teams in the East Division against the top four teams in the West Division.
