SAVANNAH, Ga.—Savannah State women's volleyball returns to Tiger Arena this evening for a key Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) East Division matchup.

Just past the midway mark of the season, the Lady Tigers are battling for better positioning ahead of the 2022 SIAC Volleyball Championship—set for Nov. 10-12 in Mobile, Ala. With seven SIAC matches left in the regular season, Savannah State is hoping to finish atop the standings in order to get a better seeding into this year's tournament.

Savannah State is currently in third place in the SIAC East Division with an 8-4 mark in their conference schedule. They trail Edward Waters (8-2) and Albany State (12-2). Benedict is in fourth place with a 6-6 conference mark, followed by Clark Atlanta (5-7), Allen (3-6) and Fort Valley State (3-11).

LAST GAME
Last Friday, the Lady Tigers faced off against new conference member Allen—who they've won against the last two times the teams played. Savannah State dominated the Yellowjackets, 3-0, in the first of two matches this season. (Full Recap Here) Savannah State and Allen will meet again on Nov. 1 in Columbia, S.C.
