SAVANNAH, Ga.— Coming off a dominating Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) win on Saturday against Lane College, Savannah State women's basketball will look to keep their current win streak alive tonight against Edward Waters.
 
The Jacksonville, Florida EWU team comes to Savannah as an SIAC provisional team for a non-conference game against the Lady Tigers. EWU will be added to the SIAC East Division next year.
 
The Lady Tigers improved to 10-5, 5-0 SIAC on Saturday with a 75-54 win over Lane College in Tiger Arena. This season, Savannah State has beat eight of its ten opponents by double-digits and have one of the best starts to a season since the 1992-93 team opened 11-0.
 
Savannah State is led in scoring by redshirt junior guard Le'Andrea Gillis—who put up a season-high 27 points on Saturday. Gillis is averaging 15.0 points a game, shooting 47 percent from the field this year.
 
Close behind her is center Bria Gibbs who's putting away 11.8 points a game, shooting 58 percent from the field. Gibbs also leads the team in rebounds with 6.9 an outing.
