SAVANNAH, Ga. – Savannah State football concludes a three-game homestand as it faces off with Morehouse College in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) action today at Theodore A. Wright Stadium.

The Tigers are coming off a thrilling 41-34 victory over Benedict College last week in their SIAC opener.
 
Savannah State led for most of the game until Benedict came back with a strong 21-point rally to tie it up. With minutes ticking away, D'Vonn Gibbons ran in a 31-yard keeper for the go-ahead score. On the other side of the ball, Le'Vonte Larry snagged an interception with seconds to play sealing up the win for Savannah State.
 
Savannah State heads on the road next week to face Kentucky State in Frankfort, Kentucky. They return home on Oct. 9 with a non-conference game against Erskine College, the first part of a two-game homestand. They face Clark Atlanta on Homecoming, Oct. 16 before two tough SIAC road games against Albany State and Fort Valley State.
 
Today's game will be streamed live on ESPN+. For the first time in program history, nine of Savannah State's ten football games will be televised this year after the SIAC signed a streaming deal with ESPN and Savannah State signed their own streaming deal with FloSports.
