SAVANNAH, Ga.—Savannah State women's volleyball team are set to compete in a non-conference match against Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) provisional member Edward Waters University tonight in Tiger Arena.

Tonight's game is open and free to the public.

Edward Waters women's volleyball team currently hold a 16-7 record. The Lady Tigers are looking to pick up a win tonight to improve their overall record to an even 9-9 into the final stretch of the regular season.

Both teams are coming off a loss in their recent matchups. The Lady Tigers are hoping to improve their home record to 4-2 tonight after falling to Benedict College in their last game.

This will be the first time these two competitors have met since 2009. Savannah State blanked Edward Waters 3-0 in both of the matches that year.

After tonight's home matchup, the Lady Tigers will play Edward Waters on the road before returning to Tiger Arena on Nov. 5 with another non-conference matchup against SIAC provisional team Allen University.

Savannah State concludes the regular season with three consecutive SIAC matches against Fort Valley, Clark Atlanta and Albany State. The Lady Tigers are currently vying for a bid in the 2021 SIAC Volleyball Championship (Nov. 15-18). They are currently ranked fourth in the SIAC East Division with a 5-7 conference record.
