SAVANNAH, Ga.- The Savannah State women's and men's basketball teams will celebrate Winter Homecoming 2.0 by playing the Rattlers of Florida A&M on February 16 in Tiger Arena.
 
The women's game is schedule to start at 4 pm while the men will tip-off at 6 pm.
 
It will be the third game of a four-game home-stand for the Tigers.
 
Both Savannah State teams enter the contest coming off a double-header sweep of Morgan State which was played on Feb. 11.
 
Jalea Gray scored a career-high 17 points in the Lady Tigers 53-35 win over the Bears. Myasia Jones added 12 points and six rebounds for Savannah State (6-13, 4-6 MEAC) while Alexxus Sowell chipped in 10 rebounds, six points and five blocks.
 
In the men's game, Zach Sellers' 3-pointer with 46 seconds left proved to be the game-winner in the Tigers 88-85 victory. Jaquan Dotson led four SSU players in double figures with 18 points. Tyrell Harper, who hit five 3-pointers added 17 points and nine assists while Zaquavian Smith scored 13 and Romani Hansen chipped in 11. Hansen, John Grant and Collins Joseph all had five rebounds each. The victory extended the Tigers (9-15, 6-4 MEAC) winning streak to four games.
 
SSU traveled to Tallahassee, Florida on January 12  where the Lady Tigers posted a 54-50 win over FAMU while the Savannah State men lost to the Rattlers 69-64.
 
The Savannah State women have beaten FAMU four times in their past five games.
 
Florida A&M's women's team lost to Norfolk State 69-45 on Feb. 11, for their sixth loss in a row. The Rattlers (3-20, 1-10 MEAC), who will be playing under the direction of interim head coach Kevin Lynum, are led by Mya Moye who averages 11.1 points a game. Savannah native Dy`Manee Royal averages seven rebounds per game. FAMU is 0-10 on the road this season.
 
The FAMU men fell to Norfolk State 66-54 on Feb. 11. After winning five games in a row, the Rattlers have lost their past two games. Justin Ravenel averages 15.7 points a game for Florida A&M (10-16, 7-4 MEAC).
