Jaquan Dotson scored 17 points and had 11 rebounds in Savannah State's non-conference 139-72 loss to South Dakota State.
The contest was played in Frost Arena, before a crowd of 1,776.
John Grant added 15 points off the bench for the Tigers while
Zach Sellers chipped in 10 points while dishing out four assists.
Savannah State (3-8) jumped out to a 9-7 lead after two 3-pointers by Dotson and one by
Tyrell Harper.
The Jackrabbits answered with a 16-4 run to go ahead by 11 with 15:30 on the clock.
With 9:12 left in the first period, SSU found itself down 46-28 but South Dakota State scored 23 unanswered points as they closed the half with a 44-5 run.
Savannah State trailed 90-33 at the half.
SDSU (9-3) shot 76 percent from the field in the opening half while the Tigers shot 26.2 percent.
The rest of the game, Savannah State could get no closer than 47 points.
Savannah State did have a 15-6 run in the second half but SDSU ended the game with a 27-7 spurt.
The Tigers shot 34.2 percent from the field, 23.1 percent from beyond the arc and 54.5 percent from the free throw line.
South Dakota State, which out-rebounded the Tigers 59 to 34, shot 60.9 percent from the floor, 67.6 percent from beyond the arc and 62.5 percent from the free throw line.
Mike Daum led SDSU with 37 points and 17 rebounds while Tevin King had 10 points and 13 assists.
