SAVANNAH, Ga – The Savannah State men's basketball team returns to action on Friday am 7 P.M. when they will welcome the Gardner-Webb University bulldogs to Tiger Arena in a non-conference matchup.
 
The Tigers come into the contest on two game winning streak after victories over Middle Georgia State University and Tennessee Tech University.
 
The Tigers are led by Zaquavian Smith who is averaging 16.8 points per game and four rebounds per game this season.
 
The Bulldogs have started their 2018-19 campaign by going winless in their first three contests. They are led by Jose Perez who is averaging 16 points per game and 5.3 rebounds per  game this season.
 
This is the Tigers last home game before hitting the road for the Commodore Classic Tournament and this is the last Tigers home game of 2018.
 
The Tigers do not return to Tiger Arena until January 19, when they will host the Florida A&M Rattlers in MEAC matchup.
