Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. – Freshman middle blocker
Tyran Chenault led the Savannah State University women's volleyball team with 10 kills as the Lady Tigers (2-13, 0-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) fell to Bethune-Cookman University (3-7, 1-0 MEAC) 3-0 (18-25, 17-25, 18-25) in SSU's home and conference opener Friday night in Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium.
Senior setter
Alee Quint led the team with 12 assists, while freshman setter
Salma Gonzalez nearly missed on a double-double with 11 assists and nine digs. Freshman libero
Leiri Melendez and freshman outside hitter
Brooke Sanford led the team with 11 digs each. Junior middle blocker
Charlinda Colbert added five kills, while junior outside hitter
Jennifer Rosado led the team with three blocks.
The Wildcats were led by Alana Handy with 10 kills and with a .500 hitting percentage, Phalen Clark with 37 assists and added nine digs and Rechez Lindsay with 14 digs.
