SAVANNAH, Ga. – Due to concerns over Hurricane Matthew's potential impact on Savannah and the Coastal Empire area, Savannah State has postponed its football game against Morgan State to a later date. A new date has yet to be determined.
The game was originally scheduled for this Saturday at 7 p.m.
Savannah State classes are canceled beginning at 3 p.m. today, October 5, until 8 a.m., Monday, October 10. All campus events scheduled after 3 p.m. today have been suspended due to the campus closure.
Forecasters with the National Weather Service predict strong rain, wind and flooding in the Savannah area and the east coast.
