SAVANNAH, Ga. – The Savannah State University volleyball team (1-20, 1-4 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) looks to build off their first win last Monday with the final three home matches this weekend in Willcox-Wiley Gymnasium.
The Lady Tigers face Bethune-Cookman University (5-18, 3-2 MEAC) Friday at 6 p.m. for the Dig Pink Match, MEAC southern division leader Florida A&M University (9-11, 5-0 MEAC) Sunday at 1 p.m. for Senior Day and Georgia Southern University (11-10) Monday at 6 p.m. for the final home match of the season.
SSU is coming off its first win this season last Monday with a 3-1 (25-15, 20-25, 25-22, 25-15) win over South Carolina State University. Senior setter
Caitlynn Masoe led the Lady Tigers with 17 kills and added seven assists, three digs and two service aces, while junior setter
Alee Quint led the team with a season-high 42 assists and added eight digs and two service aces.
Masoe leads the Lady Tigers with 2.09 kills per set and is averaging 2.28 assists per set, 0.41 service aces per set, which ranks second in the MEAC and 35
th in the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and 1.79 digs per set. The Long Beach, Calif., native's 28 service aces ranks third in the MEAC and 65
th in the NCAA.

Dominique Ingram is second on the team averaging 2.01 kills per set, but leads the team with 0.72 blocks per set, which ranks seventh in the MEAC, while Quint leads the team with 5.10 assists per set and senior libero
Alexis Washington leads the team with 3.63 digs per set, which ranks sixth in the conference.
In conference play, Masoe is averaging 3.12 kills per set, which ranks 10
th in the MEAC, and eighth with 0.50 service aces per set, while Quint is averaging 6.75 assists per set, which ranks 10
th in the conference, and Washington ranks third with 4.06 digs per set.
The Lady Tigers have faced all three schools earlier this season going 0-3. Bethune-Cookman came away with a 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-22) win on Sept. 23, Florida A&M won 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-15) and Georgia Southern won 3-1 (25-9, 25-20, 23-25, 25-14) on Sept. 2.
BCU lost its last time out to Jacksonville 3-1 and has lost six of the last eight matches. The Wildcats are led by Alana Handy with 2.91 kills per set, Phalen Clark with 5.68 assists per set and Normarie Rolon Soto with 3.22 digs per set.
FAMU, who plays at SCSU Friday night, has won the last six matches and seven of the last eight, including a 3-1 win at Troy in the last match. The Rattlers are led by Maria Yvette Garcia with 3.25 kills per set, Valeria Lopez with 8.82 assists per set, and Valentina Carrasco with 4.12 digs per set.
GS, who plays two Sun Belt conference matches at home this weekend, has won four of the last five matches, but lost to South Alabama 3-0 the last time out. The Eagles are led by Katie Bange with 3.03 kills per set, Kendra Koetter with 5.41 assists per set and Alex Beecher with 4.59 digs per set.
The Lady Tigers finish the season on the road traveling to Greensboro, N.C., to face North Carolina A&T State University (6-11, 3-1 MEAC) Friday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m., to Durham, N.C., to face North Carolina Central University (3-12, 2-2 MEAC) Sunday at 1 p.m., and to Orangeburg, S.C., to face South Carolina State (0-20, 0-5 MEAC) at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6.
