· SSU will meet Florida A&M for the 24th time with SSU leading the series, 12-11. SSU has won the last 7 of 8 meetings. FAMU currently sits in the last place spot in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) race, while SSU is tied at the 11th place position with Morgan State. Florida A&M is not eligible to compete in the post season tournament this year.

· Depending on the outcome of Thursday's MEAC finales, the Tigers can finish anywhere in the 9th-12th place range.

· SSU is getting quality minutes from newcomer and walk-on, junior college transfer, Brian Pearson. Pearson, a native of Monroe, Ga., has started in the last eleven games and is the fifth leading scorer averaging 6.8 points per game and the leading rebounder averaging 4.5 per game.

· Defense is the pride of any Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 6th nationally in steals averaging 9.1 per game. SSU is also first in
the conference and 7th nationally in total steals with 264.
