STILLWATER, Okla. – Junior guard
Kenyata Hendrix led the Savannah State University women's basketball team with a season-high 18 points as the Lady Tigers (2-7) fell to Oklahoma State (10-1) 76-48 in Gallagher-Iba Arena Sunday afternoon.
The Carrollton, Ga., native recorded 13 of her points in the second half on 4-for-8 shooting, including 4-for-7 at the 3-point line. Overall, Hendrix shot 5-for-16, including 5-for-12 during the game. The five made 3-pointers pushes Hendrix over 100 made 3-pointers in her career with 101, which ranks third in school history in the Division I era.

Rhianna Warren added a career-high 11 points on 4-for-8 shooting from the 3-point line, while junior forward
Jeremica Edwards added seven points on 3-for-6 shooting from the floor.

Oklahoma State scored the first 13 points of the game for a 13-0 lead at the 4:34 mark in the first quarter. Davis' free throw shot got SSU on board to cut the lead to 13-1 with 4:21 remaining in the first quarter. The Cowgirls outscored SSU 9-5 during the rest of the quarter to lead by 16, 22-6, after a quarter of play. Hendrix led SSU with five points during the opening quarter.
The Cowgirls opened the second quarter with an 18-4 run for a 30-point lead, 40-10, with 3:05 remaining in the second quarter. The Lady Tigers finished the quarter on an 8-4 run to cut the lead to 26 points, 44-18, with two buckets from Edwards, two free throws from sophomore guard

Chelsea Frazier. Edwards led SSU with six points, while Hendrix added five points through the first half.
The Lady Tigers opened the third quarter on an 8-3 run to cut the lead to 21 points, 47-26, with 8:11 remaining in the third quarter. The Cowgirls scored the next nine points to take a 30-point lead, 56-26, with 4:12 remaining in the quarter. After both teams added a free throw to keep the lead at 30, 57-27, with 3:38 left, the Lady Tigers finished the quarter scoring the final five points to cut the lead to 25 points, 57-32, after three quarters. Hendrix led the team with seven points on 2-for-4 shooting, including 2-for-3 at the 3-point line during the quarter.
The Lady Tigers opened the final quarter on a 6-2 run to cut the lead to 21 points, 59-38, with 6:55 remaining in the fourth quarter. The Cowgirls scored six of the next seven points to increase their lead to 26, 65-39, with 5:14 remaining in the game, but a three-pointer by Hendrix cut the lead to 23, 65-42, with 4:44 left. The Cowgirls went on an 11-0 run to increase their lead to 34 points, 76-42, with 2:18 remaining, but the Lady Tigers scored the final six points of the game from Hendrix and Warren's three-pointers to cut Oklahoma State's lead to the final 28-point margin. Warren led SSU with nine points on 3-for-4 shooting from the 3-point line during the final quarter, while Hendrix added six points on 2-for-4 shooting from the 3-point line.
Oklahoma State was led Brittney Martin with a double-double of 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Kaylee Jensen also added a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds. Karli Wheeler and Mandy Coleman each added eight points.
The Lady Tigers finish their six-game roadstand in Florida with a trip to Tallahassee to open Mid-Eastern Conference play against Florida A&M on Friday at 1 p.m. and then travels to Jacksonville to face Atlantic Sun opponent Jacksonville on Saturday at 2 p.m.
