Junior middle blocker
Gabrielle Nathaniel leads the team with 92 kills, 1.37 kills per set, and with 24 total blocks, 0.36 blocks per set. The Ontario, Canada native has added 12 services aces, 0.18 service ace per set, and 93 digs, 1.39 digs per set.
Junior setter
Caitlynn Masoe leads the team with 254 assists, 3.79 assist per set, and is second on the team with 88 kills, 1.31 kills per set, and with 14 service aces, 0.21 service ace per set, while freshman outside hitter
Makayla Tam leads the team with 1.38 kills per set, 87 kills, and with 17 service aces, 0.27 service ace per set. The Woodland, Calif., native has added 65 kills and 13 total blocks.
Junior libero
Alexis Washington leads the team with 216 digs, 3.13 digs per set and has added 11 service aces, while senior middle blocker
Christian Lyle has added 75 kills, 1.29 kills per set, and 22 total blocks, 0.38 blocks per set.
The Lady Tigers (0-23) fell to South Carolina State 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-19) last time out on Friday in Orangeburg, S.C. Freshman outside hitter
Chinenye Ofodile led the team with five kills, while Masoe led the team with 14 assists and Nathaniel, Masoe and Washington led the team with five digs each. Nathaniel and freshman setter
Briana Littlejohn each added four kills.
Mercer (7-11) won both matches last weekend at home against Western Carolina (3-1) on Friday and Wofford (3-1) on Saturday. The Bears are led by Morgan Macgilvary with 180 kills, 2.73 kills per set, Claire Waliczek with 383 assists, 5.80 assists per set, and Tori Penrod with 273 digs, 4.79 digs per set.
The Lady Tigers play four matches next week starting with two non-conference matches. SSU plays The Citadel in Charleston, S.C., on Tuesday at 6 p.m. and hosts Alabama State on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Willcox-Wiley Gym. The Lady Tigers then travel to Florida to face MEAC opponents of Bethune-Cookman on Friday at 7 p.m. and Florida A&M on Sunday at 3 p.m.
