· SSU will meet N.C A&T for the 8th time with Savannah State leading the series, 5-2. Both SSU and N.C. A&T are battling for wins in order to move up in the MEAC race. The Tigers currently sit in the 12th place spot with a 1-5 record and N.C. A&T in 11th with a 2-6 record. N.C. A&T defeated SSU, 47-68, earlier this season.

· This is the last of a three-game home stand for the Tigers. SSU defeated Hampton, 68-66 then fell to Norfolk 70-54. The Tigers are looking to gain momentum with a win tonight before hitting the road to face Coppin and Morgan in Baltimore, Md.

· For the past three games, SSU has had four newcomers in the starting lineups. The Tigers have started Freshmen Khalen Pinkett, Jamal Norman and Treyvon Francis along with JUCO transfer Brian Pearson.

· Defense is the pride of any Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 7th nationally in steals averaging 9.5 per game. SSU is also first in the conference and 9th nationally in total steals with 189.
