Tiger Bites· SSU will meet Hampton University for the 10th time with Hampton leading the series, 7-2. Hampton won the last meeting, 80-71, on Jan. 25, 2014 in Savannah.
· SSU is back at home and ready to Defend the Den. All the Tigers' wins this season have come at home. SSU is currently 4-0 in Tiger Arena with wins over Winthrop, Cleveland State, Middle Georgia and Allen.
· Freshman guard Khalen Pinkett has started in 17 of 18 games and is already establishing himself within the basketball program. The Norcross, Ga. native, leads all SSU freshman in steals (29) and assists (28). He is also 5th in the MEAC in steals.
· The Tigers are currently ranked 308th in the Division I ESPN RPI rankings out of 351 schools. SSU is 8th amongst MEAC institutions with N.C. Central leading at the 95th spot.
· Defense is the pride of any
Horace Broadnax coached team. The Tigers are ranked 1st in the MEAC and 8th nationally in steals averaging 9.5 per game. SSU is also first in the conference and 13th nationally in total steals with 171.
