THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers return home to host Charleston Southern after a five game road stretch in a nonconference match up and the second game between the schools this year.

In the first game against the Lady Bucs this year, CSU beat SSU in straight sets, 25-10, 25-22, and 25-17. However, the Lady Tigers showed vast improvement over the last few times they've faced the regional rival. CSU has a 22-0 unblemished record against SSU in this decade.

SSU opened Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play this past weekend with losses to Florida A&M and Bethune-Cookman on the road. They play their first home MEAC game this coming Friday against S.C. State University.

The Lady Tigers are 3-13 on the season. They are led by junior Justice Dilworth, who has 100 kills, averaging 2.17 per set. Dilworth also leads in digs with 93, averaging 2.02 per set.

Newcomer Zariya Thomas has been a fine addition to the Lady Tigers. She has 81 kills, averaging 1.72 per set this season and led the Lady Tigers in both games this past weekend.

Returner Gabrielle Nathaniel has stepped up in her sophomore year, averaging 1.46 kills per set with 73 on the season. On defense, Nathaniel leads in blocks with 19, while newcomers Elexius Harris and Autumn Session each have 12 blocks.

Charleston Southern is 6-11 on the season with a 1-2 record on the road. Siraya Windsor leads the team in kills with 221, averaging 3.68 per set. Taylor Allman leads in digs with 275 (4.58 per set).
