Tiger Bites· The Tigers are 2-0 at home this season. SSU finished 7-5 at home last year and are on a three-game home win streak dating back to last season.
· SSU and Middle Georgia will meet for the first time. Middle Georgia will be the first of two non-Division I opponents for the Tigers this season. SSU will also play Allen University, a NAIA opponent out of Columbia S.C., on Jan. 6, 2015.
· The Savannah State newcomers, made up of four freshmen and one JUCO transfer, are accounting for 49% of the total minutes played so far this year for the Tigers.
· The Tigers were picked to finished 7th in the 2014-15 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) preseason poll. SSU finished in the 5th place spot last season and won in the opening round of the MEAC tournament, but fell to Norfolk State in the quarterfinal round.
· The Tigers will look to seniors
Keierre Richards and
Terel Hall to anchor this year's team. Hall and Richards are the only two returning starters from last year's squad.
