· Tigers are looking to improve on 4-2 overall and 2-0 conference home records.

· The Tigers have won the last four meetings over the Rattlers.

· SSU is currently 1st place in the MEAC with a 4-0 conference record. The Tigers are one of two undefeated teams in the conference. The other is Morgan State who holds a 3-0 record.

· FAMU won its first road game of the season with a win over South Carolina State on Saturday

· SSU's Jyles Smith was named the MEAC Player of the Week and Jeremiah Hill received Newcomer of the Week honors for the week ending 1/12.

· In his 9th season, head coach Horace Broadnax is SSU's second longest tenured basketball coach. He is also 3rd in wins with 110.
