CHARLESTON, S.C. – After back-to-back tournaments, the Lady Tigers make a quick trip up the interstate for a regional match against Charleston Southern University Tuesday evening.
SSU is still in search of its first win of the season after falling to 0-7 out of the Stetson Tournament last weekend. Senior
Bryana Gadis and sophomore
Bianca Brochu were named to the All-Tournament Team.
The freshman class of 2013 has already proved its worth on the court. Newcomer
Gabrielle Nathaniel leads the team in kills with 32. Libero
Alexis Washington leads the team in digs with 57, and setter
Caitlynn Masoe leads the team in assists with 77.
This is the 28
th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach
Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

THE SCOUTING REPORT: Tonight's game will be the Lady Buccaneers eighth game as well. They are 1-6 overall. Their lone win came against Mississippi Valley State in the Jacksonville Tournament.
Tonight's matchup is sandwiched between two tournaments for Charleston Southern. They will play in The Citadel Tournament this coming weekend after a trip to the Davidson Tournament.
Sophomore outside hitter Katrina Houston leads the team on offense with 68 kills. Senior defensive specialist Maggie Murhpy leads the team in digs with 58. The team is averaging 10.18 kills per set, and 10.41 digs per set.
