THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers head into Sunday's Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match looking for their first conference win of the season. SSU has three games left in the regular season, all of which are scheduled MEAC matches.

This is the second game between SSU and S.C. State this year. The Lady Bulldogs beat SSU on October 4 in Orangeburg, S.C. in three sets, 22-25, 18-25 and 17-25.

SSU is led by sophomore Christian Lyle who has 121 kills (1.48 k/g) on the season and leads the team in blocks with 41. Senior Bryana Gadis and sophomore Justice Dilworth each have a 116 kills apiece. Freshman Alexis Washington leads SSU in digs with 187.

This is the 28^th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

South Carolina State enters Sunday's match with a 3-21 overall record and a 2-5 conference mark. They are currently on a four game losing streak. Their last win came against Alabama A&M on October 15.

The Lady Bulldogs have MEAC wins against SSU and Bethune-Cookman. They are winless on the road with a 0-9 record.

Desire Waller leads the team with 333 kills (4.11 k/s). Marissa Lawrence has 117 kills (1.70 k/s), while Victoria Ferguson leads the team on defense with 232 digs (2.94 dig/s).
