THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers return home after their final two road games of the 2013 campaign last week. They conclude the season with a four game home stand. The Jacksonville University match will be the final nonconference match for the Lady Tigers this season.
 
SSU is led by sophomore Christian Lyle, who walked-on as a true freshman last year. Lyle leads in kills with 113 (1.43 k/s), and in blocks (40). Senior Bryana Gadis has 112 kills (1.44 k/s) on the season and is second on the team in digs with 148 (1.90 dig/s).
 
Alexis Washington leads the team on defense with 182 digs (2.84 dig/s), while setter Caitlynn Masoe leads the team with 399 assists on kills.
 
This is the 28th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

SCOUTING REPORT VERSUS JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY:
Jacksonville University comes to Savannah after breaking a 10-game winning streak with a loss to Lipscomb last week. The Dolphins are having a stellar season with a 20-3 overall record and a 10-2 mark in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). On the road, JU is 7-3.

The Dolphins are led by Sam Strausbaugh. She has 273 kills (3.25 k/s) overall, 244 digs (2.90 dig/s), and a .263 hitting percentage. Following Strausbaugh, Gabriella Roman has recorded 228 kills (2.78 k/s) this season with a .296 hitting percentage.

On defense, JU is led by Rachel Miller, who is averaging 3.15 digs per set with 246 overall. Kylie Jacob leads the team in blocks with 90. The team is hitting .256 combined and has outscored opponents 1221-989 (kills).
