THE GAMES:
 The Lady Tigers will hit the road for the final time this season. SSU plays Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M in a three day road trip to Florida. SSU has been on the road for most of the season with 20 of their games played away, and four played at home. Â

They conclude the regular season with four straight home games, beginning with an October 30 game against Jacksonville University.

SSU is 0-24 on the season and 0-5 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC), heading into the weekend's conference games. They are led by senior
Bryana Gadis, who has 101 kills (1.40 per/game). She is second in digs with 139.

Sophomore
Christian Lyle leads the team in blocks (37), and is second in kills (99). Sophomore's
Justice Dilworth and
Bianca Brochu each have over 90 kills as well.
Alexis Washington leads the team on defense with 164 digs.

This is the 28
th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach
Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

Freshman
Gabrielle Nathaniel will miss this weekend's games due to an undisclosed injury. Nathaniel is not scheduled to return this year. Â

Friday's match will be the second game between SSU and Bethune-Cookman. The Lady Wildcats beat SSU in Willcox-Wiley Gym on September 29, in three sets (25-16, 25-15, 25-15).
Bethune is 4-22 overall this season and 3-2 in the MEAC. They are tied for second in the current MEAC Southern Division standings with North Carolina A&T State.
Cookman is led by Delicia Pierre, who has 265 kills this season (3.23 k/s). Destiny Hudson is second on the team in kills (170). Normarie Rolon and Jennifer Jimenez lead the team in defense with 213 and 214 digs, respectively. Â

SCOUTING REPORT VERSUS FLORIDA A&M:
Last Box Score vs. SSU
Florida A&M enter the weekend with a 10-6 overall record after a 3-1 nonconference win over North Florida on Monday. The Lady Rattlers are undefeated in the MEAC with a 5-0 record, and lead the MEAC Southern Division.
FAMU faces South Carolina State in a MEAC match on Friday evening before taking on the Lady Tigers Sunday.
This will be the second match between SSU and FAMU this season. The Lady Rattlers beat SSU in three sets (15-25, 18-25, 17-25) in Savannah on September 27.
The team is second overall in the conference in team hitting percentage (.215), trailing only Hampton (.247). Ginna Chavez-Lopez leads the MEAC and FAMU in hitting percentage (.410). She leads the team in kills with 156.
Joanie Del Castillo leads the team with 4.75 digs per set and 261 overall this season. The Lady Rattlers are 3-1 at home, with their only loss coming at the hands of Western Kentucky. Â
