THE GAME:
The Lady Tigers conclude a five game road stretch with a visit to Charleston, South Carolina for a mid-week, nonconference showdown with The Citadel.
 
This is the second match up between SSU and The Citadel this year. The Bulldogs beat SSU in Savannah in straight sets (16-25, 18-25, 23-25) on September 24. The Lady Tigers are still in search of a win, entering Tuesday's contest with a 0-22 record.
 
Several sophomores have stepped up to lead the Lady Tigers. Sophomore Justice Dilworth has led the Lady Tigers in the last four consecutive games. She is averaging 1.47 kills per game with 87 overall kills this year.
 
Bianca Brochu, also a sophomore, leads the team in kills with 95 (1.42 p/g), while fellow classman Christian Lyle leads in blocks with 34 and is fourth in kills with 86 (1.28 p/g). Senior Bryana Gadis is second on the team in kills with 91 (1.38 p/g) and is second in digs with 132.
 
Defensively, freshman Alexis Washington leads the team in digs with 143. Washington returned from injury to step in as the Lady Tigers primary Libero. Another freshman has earned a starting role for the Lady Tigers. Caitlynn Masoe has become the primary setter, assisting on 330 kills this season (4.93 p/g). Masoe also has 107 digs.
 
This is the 28th season of volleyball at Savannah State. Interim head coach Jolanta Graham enters her first full year at the helm. Graham took over midway through the 2012 season. The Lady Tigers are a 10 person squad this year with six returners and four newcomers.

INJURY REPORT:
Freshman Gabrielle Nathaniel will miss this weekend's games due to an undisclosed injury. Nathaniel is not scheduled to return this year.  

SCOUTING REPORT VERSUS THE CITADEL:
The Citadel enters Tuesday's game on a six game losing streak. Their last win was against Savannah State on September 24. The Bulldogs are winless in conference play and have a 4-17 overall record.

The team is led by Ise D'Angelo and Lauren Hurt; each has 114 kills on the season. Katie Briggs and Bailey Kemodle also have triple digit kills with 107 and 106, respectively. Erin Burcherl leads the team defensively with 276 digs (4.06 p/g).

The Bulldogs have a team hitting percentage of .133 and have been more successful in 3-set matches going 3-12. They have lost both 5-set matches.
