SAVANNAH, Ga.- A total of nine current and former Savannah State student-athletes received SSU degrees during the one hundred seventy-ninth commencement held at Tiger Arena on December 10.
Vonetta Epps (women's golf) received a master of business administration.
Receiving undergraduate degrees were Cedric Chambers (football/accounting), LaDarien Redfield (football/behavior analysis), Antwan Allen (football/criminal justice), Mark Sherrod (baseball/criminal justice), Erin Boast (tennis/English, language & literature), Peter Teifer (men's golf/English, language & literature), Arney Roberson (baseball/political science) and Ashely Johnson (softball/biology).
Boast and Teifer graduated cum laude with at least a 3.40 grade point average.
