Savannah, Ga. Savannah State University volleyball team dropped its first home and conference game (0-3) to the Lady Wildcats of Bethune Cookman in Wilcox Wiley Gym on October, 2.
SSU progressed throughout sets but eventually fell 11-25, 15-25 and 21-25 in front of a crowd of sixty-seven patrons.
As a team Savannah State recorded 22 kills, 21 assists and 30 digs. Individuallly SSU's
Jennifer Lowe,
Chikia Jones and
Bryana Gadis earned six kills each, and setter
Ashlee Butler had a team high of 18 assists.
Janeen Davis of BCU had the game high of 14 kills and Frances Rodrigues dominated with 22 assists.
Savannah State will continue its conference play on Monday, October 3 against the Lady Rattlers of Florida A&M at 5 p.m.
