Savannah, Ga. - The Lady Tigers volleyball team fought hard to defeat the Lady Eagles of Armstrong Atlantic State, but loss 0-3 (19-25, 18-25, 10-25) on Tuesday's home contest in Tiger Arena.

The Lady Tigers stepped up their defensive efforts recording an overall of 35 team digs against AASU, and sophomore Ashlee Butler dominated with a game high of ten digs to go along with her 14 assists.

SSU's Bianca Helton and Bryana Gadis led the team in kills with five each.

Lady Eagle Torrie Bevolo had the game high of 13 kills.

The Lady Tigers will play Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina on September 8, and then return home on September 9 to play the Lady Barons of Brewton Parker at 7:00 p.m. in Tiger Arena.
