SSU Volleyball “Games in Pink” Match Moved to Thursday

Savannah, Ga.—The Lady Tiger's support for Breast Cancer Awareness program “Games in Pink” has been moved to Thursday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. in Tiger Arena. Tuesday's match against Mercer University has been cancelled.

The Lady Tigers will support Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting  this “Games in Pink” match and wearing signature breast cancer ribbons, pink shoe laces, wrist bands, and using pink volleyballs as the official game ball for the match.In between the second and third game, a representative from the Coastal Georgia Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure will speak about the importance of getting regular breast exams, and spreading awareness of breast cancer. 

The Lady Tigers will face off against the Lady Spartans of Norfolk State University. This will be SSU's second time facing NSU in the 2010 season.

SSU athletic administration encourages all student- athletes and guests to participate in the event by wearing pink apparel to the game.
