Tracy Rankins poured in 20 points to lead Savannah State to a 81-62 victory over Allen at Tiger Arena.
The win gives the Tigers a 9-13 mark.
Savannah State led by 13 early in the second period but the Yellow Jackets cut SSU's lead to 48-43 with 13:09 on the clock. SSU answered with a 13-2 run to take a 61-45 lead with 7:45 left.
Leading 66-53 with just under five minutes remaining, SSU went on a 13-3 run to seal their win and take a 79-56 advantage with 59 seconds on the clock.

Horace Broadnax was tossed after receiving his second technical of the game with 2:14 remaining.
Arnold Louis scored 13 of his 17 points in the opening period for SSU and
Rashad Hassan added 13 points and 13 rebounds. Preston Blackmon chipped in eight assists and seven points while
Patrick Hardy had five steals.
Despite the lopsided score, the game had eight ties and seven lead changes.
Allen led 20-19 with 5:09 left but Savannah State finished the period with a 13-5 surge to take a 32-25 lead into the half.
The Yellow Jackets had four players in double figures and were led by Chavis Darby who had 14 points. Savannah native Anthony Gordon had three steals, two points and two rebounds for Allen.
