Rams and Pirates Down Savannah State

WINSTON SALEM, N.C.- Savannah State fell to 2-9 following losses to Winston-Salem State and East Carolina in the Lady Ram Invitational played on the WSSU campus at the C.E. Gaines Center.

Winston-Salem State downed SSU 25-17, 30-28 and 25-21 while East Carolina won 25-2, 25-10 and 25-11.

In the WSSU game, Shawannda McClain had 19 assists while Danielle Richardson had 12 digs. Shatice White, Keandra Lewis and Chikia Jones all added six kills.

Annika Barnwell led WSSU with 16 kills while Alexandria Brown had 30 assists and Erica Cole had 16 digs.

Richardson had nine digs against ECU while Lewis added seven. White had a pair of kills and McClain and Nabori Perez had two assists each.

Hannah Fenker had 37 assists for the Pirates while Amanda Lutzow had 12 digs and Britney Roper had 10 kills.
