Donovan Jackson

Donovan Jackson enters his first season as offensive line coach at Savannah State University.

Jackson comes to SSU from fellow Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) member Norfolk State University where he was an offensive line assistant during the 2014 season.

Jackson also spent eight seasons working on the high school level.

Jackson was the head coach at Northeast Guilfold High School in McLeansville, North Carolina (2012-14), offensive line coach and run game coordinator at North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC (2012), assistant head coach/offensive line coach/co-offensive coordinator at T. Wingate Andrews High School in High Point, NC (2009-11), offensive and defensive line coach at Ben L. Smith High School in Greensboro, NC (2008-09) and served as offensive line coach at Rocky Mount Senior High School in Rocky Mount, NC (2007-08).

The Winston-Salem, NC native was a four-year starter on the offensive and defensive lines at Norfolk State (2003-07) and was a team captain during the junior and senior years.

After college, Jackson played on the professional level in the Arena League with the Laredo Lobos (2007) and Chicago Rush (2008).

Jackson earned his B.A in psychology from Norfolk State in 2007 and his M.A in teaching physical education from North Carolina A&T State University in 2012.
