Reese White enters his first season on the Savannah State University football staff as the Outside Linebackers Coach. A young coach in only his second year coaching, White’s background allows him to connect with athletes, emphasizing fundamentals, work ethic, and building a winning culture both on and off the field.
White is a native of Atlanta, Georgia where he attended both Woodward Academy and Riverwood International Charter School. He played Running Back, Outside Linebacker, and Strong Safety throughout his high school football career while leaving Riverwood as the single season rushing yard leader in 2018 where he won Region 6 5A Player of the year and got 2nd Team All State honors.
White earned a scholarship to Coastal Carolina University as a Running Back where he played from 2019-2023. He was apart of the historic 2020 Coastal Carolina team who went 11-1 and got up to as high as #9 in the AP poll and finished the season #14 in the final AP poll. He played a key role in that team with 531 total yards and 6 touchdowns on 5.4 yards a carry. White finished his college career with a Sun Belt championship ring, 2 bowl rings and over 2000 total yards and 27 total touchdowns. He also graduated with a bachelors degree in Recreational Sports Management in December 2022 and a masters degree in Instructional Technology in December 2023.
Prior to Savannah State, White began his coaching career serving as the Running Backs Coach at California University of Pennsylvania in 2025. He helped them get to the second round of the NCAA DII playoffs and had a 1000 yard All conference Running Back.
