Londen Berksteiner enters his third season with the Savannah State University Men’s Basketball program, where he serves as an Assistant Coach and Head of Recruitment. A native of Savannah, Georgia, Berksteiner graduated from Bethesda Academy, where he excelled both academically and athletically playing football, basketball, and baseball. In addition to his athletic accomplishments, he was also a nationally ranked chess player, showcasing his strategic thinking and discipline.
Berksteiner continued his academic journey at Morehouse College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in English. While at Morehouse, he became an integral part of the Men’s Basketball program, starting as a student manager and steadily taking on greater responsibilities. By his junior year, he was assisting with daily operations for the program. During his tenure, the Maroon Tigers achieved notable success, capturing two SIAC regular season championships.
Before joining Savannah State, Berksteiner returned to his alma mater, Bethesda Academy, where he served as Assistant Boys Basketball Coach, Head of Operations, and Head of Recruitment. There, he played a vital role in player development, program management, and expanding the school’s athletic recruiting network.
Since joining Savannah State, Berksteiner has been instrumental in the program’s continued growth and success. He was a key member of the coaching staff during the Tigers’ championship-winning 2024–25 season, helping guide the team to one of its best defensive and recruiting years in recent history. His leadership in player development and recruitment helped bring in a talented class of freshmen and transfers who exemplified the program’s core values of toughness, discipline, and character.
