Joshua Obiajunwa

Josh Obiajunwa begins his second season as assistant women’s basketball coach for player development. His responsibilities include strength and conditioning, as well as post player development.

Obiajunwa came to Savannah State from Benedict College where he was a three-time All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection, Dean Scholar, a Conor Elite 12 athlete, and graduated with the highest grade point average in the School of Political Science.

Obiajunwa earned his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Benedict College. From there, he matriculated to Savannah State, where he received his master’s degree in Public Administration.

While a member of the 2006-07 SSU Men’s basketball team, Obiajunwa received Co-MVP and All-Academic honors, in addition to being named an Independent Colleges and University’s Player of the Week eight times.
