Julie F. Johnson is in her fourth year as assistant women’s coach for basketball operations at Savannah State University. Johnson’s primary duties include travel, film exchange, and coordinating daily schedules for coaches and athletes. She also serves as liaison to the Media Relations department as well as other University sectors.
Johnson was a two-year starter at point guard for then Clark College (1979-81), and is currently pursuing a degree in Education and Business Administration from East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Georgia.
She is a member of the Roundtree Chapel Baptist Church in Twin City, Georgia and an active member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #114.
Johnson is married to Reverend Marque C. Johnson, Sr., and the couple has three children; Kellie, Paige, and Marque, Jr.
